At eLC, training has been one of our profound core strengths since 2001.

Our areas of expertise in training and mentoring (coaching) include Instructional Design, eLearning, Authoring tools (Lectora and Articulate) and Swishmax 2 among others.

Our delighted clients come from a diverse industrial backgrounds spanning across the academic sector (Primary Schools to Universities), MNCs and various Government Ministries.

Our training courses have been rated 4.5 out of 5 on average.

One of our key training initiatives was the launch of the NICC (National Infocomm Competency Committee) accredited eContent Authoring Certification in 2004. To date, we have trained more than 1,000 certified instructors who are now empowered to author effective training packages for their respective organisations. We have since trained numerous organisations from the corporate sector as well as from government ministries and statutory boards in the area of Instructional Design and elearning content development.

A notable achievement for our consultants was the delivery of an RLO project. This project focused on the feasibility and implementation of reusable learning object for an organisation with more than 20,000 employees worldwide. The project yielded a feasibility study, a content development guide, and an implementation guide for our satisfied customers.

Instructional Design & Pedagogy Consultancy

Sound knowledge of instructional design and pedagogy is essential to ensure that training and learning objectives are met. From scoping of content to writing the curriculum to be taught, the rationale behind the way content should be delivered is vital for both trainers and trainees.

With a team of skilled consultants, 80% of which are existing judges for Brandon Hall´s Excellence in Learning Awards, an annual competition organised by a renowned independent organisation that spotlights the best and brightest in e-learning, eLC brings about a wealth of experience, skills and knowledge to all projects we undertake. Our ability to fulfill demanding timelines and to consistently produce quality deliverables are highly valued by our clients.

eLC conducts an analysis of the content to be developed by doing a treatment study before commencing developmental work. This analysis includes the principal considerations, learning approaches, macro instructional strategy, learning environment, and multimedia usage, among other areas.

However, unlike traditional instructional design process methodologies, eLC focuses on the instructional design strategies to ensure minimum effort in learning with maximum retention of the learnt content. Collaborating with the Subject-Matter-Experts (SME), learning outcomes are determined and achieved through appropriate learning methods and assessment processes.

eLC also believes in using the Rapid Prototype Modeling (RPM) for content development process so as to zero in on the faults and to gather valuable feedback in the early stages of courseware development. This significantly reduces the time we spend on content development as well as on our ability to meet our client´s requirements. This also ensures that our clients are always aware of what they can expect as development progresses.

Custom Content Development

Using proprietary rapid prototyping methodology, eLC works with clients to develop customised eLearning content in accordance with good instructional and information design principles. We have a proven track record, having worked with eLearning projects since the CAI (computer-aided instruction) days of early 1990s.

We have designed and developed more than 1,000 hours of courseware, based on different interactivity levels and involving a wide range of subjects. Our eLearning implementation experience includes government-wide, industry-wide, ministry-wide and company-wide.

Creative Media

eLC´s involvement in communications design has evolved dramatically over the past years, from having pioneered Concept Modelling for workplan and strategic-level presentations to videography and post-editorial services in Singapore and Malaysia.

Building on years of knowledge and skills, through observation, experience and intuition to understand how people perceive information and interact with messages and objects, our expertise has expanded to include the following:

Having been in the training and learning industry since 1998, eLC has extensive experience in technical implementation as well as learning content development. Our experience and capabilities in content development and conversion, Learning Management System implementation and technical programming consultancy have placed us in the forefront of content, application and system development.

Simulations

Recognising the ever-growing desire for more intensive, immersive and engaging training solutions, eLC´s highly skilled technical team is deeply involved in developing various simulation systems in Singapore and across Asia.

The eLC´s simulations team handles a variety of simulators developed in Europe and in the Middle East. eLC´s expertise in the field of simulators and simulation systems ranges from development and customisation, to maintenance and upgrades of the systems.

Not willing to rest on their laurels, the simulations team have also embarked on the development and enhancement of serious games. This will bring our clients into a new era of training and learning. The proof is in the pudding, so the saying goes. The eLC´s pudding has been customising a version of the popular game Command & Conquer, which was then used at a recent Army Open House to showcase SAF´s 3G capabilities to the new generation.
